Another social media resource that many people are using in addition to Twitter and Facebook... Take a picture or video, choose a filter to transform its look and feel, then post to Instagram — it's that easy. You can even share to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and more. It's a new way to see the world. Google "how to use Instagram in the classroom" to find ideas and suggestions for uses in your classroom!
It's important that all students are held accountable during class discussions and everyone has a chance to speak his or her mind. Replace that old coffee-can-with-popsicle-sticks method and choose which student to call on using the Pick a Student (4) app. Type in the names of the students in your class -- use multiple class lists if you work with many groups of students -- and the app does the rest. Press a button on the screen each time you want to randomly call on a student, and a name will pop up.
Send text-message reminders about homework, tests, and special events to students and parents - all without students seeing your cell phone number, nor you seeing theirs! See how other educators are using Remind 101!
